Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in the growth of the economy.
As businesses begin, some also die, but those that can withstand the toll of time continue to build a reputation and develop into some of the iconic businesses that we know today. The YMCA of Youngstown began serving the community in the 1800s and became an independent, locally controlled Ohio corporation in 1884, which was 32 years after the first YMCA in the United States was founded. Finally, in 2016, that same YMCA has completed a $5 million downtown Central YMCA renovation, keeping much of the history, but modernizing the amenities for its many members.
The Renovation
The renovation consisted of new facilities, equipment, and programs at the downtown branch including a free-weight room, high-performance studios, an expanded cardio center (now complete with large windows for a nice view while getting your daily jog on), group fitness studio, family adventure center and Kidzone babysitting. The lobby and entrance were also updated. One of the High-Performance Studios includes a 12-rounds boxing circuit class, jump stretch and cross-fit equipment.
If you are looking for somewhere for premier fitness with brand new equipment and a safe place for your children while you stay fit, the YMCA is the place to go. There is literally something for everyone here, as well as events for members when they aren’t working out. One of the programs they offer is a “Date Night” where members can register their kids and go out and have a date night. What other workout center is going to give mom and dad a night off and provide a night of fun for your kids?
Also at the Central YMCA there is a cafe serving breakfast and lunch, two pools, three indoor gymnasium, an indoor track, and several meeting spaces that can be reserved for various organizations to hold committee meetings and planning events. If you are interested in touring the newly renovated Central YMCA for a membership, please contact Membership Director Kyle Hillman, khillman@youngstownymca.org or 330-744-8411. So why are we talking about the Youngstown YMCA? Well as Micro Doctor’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) David Daichendt puts it “One of the best things for our business, is our client’s success”. Micro Doctor IT prides itself on helping our clients grow and seeing our own growth through their growth.
How do we help our clients grow?
First of all, we put your business goals first. Teaming up with Micro Doctor means getting innovative IT support and professional services you need to design, improve, and protect your most critical systems.
Second, we work on making your business run smoother. How? We work on driving the number of tickets per endpoint per month down. What does this mean? This means we work on reducing the number of tickets you or your employees are putting in for technical issues. By reducing the technical issues, your business runs smoother, which means your employees are more productive, and in the end, your business is generating more profit.
Finally, we become a part of your business. A vCIO (virtual Chief Information Officer) sits down with a hand selected IT management group from your business, and helps to budget, plan, and manage vendors, so you can get back to doing what you do best, and that’s running your business.
